The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are better than all the days of the world

   Praise is due to Allah. May God's peace and mercy be upon the great Prophet Muhammad, his companions and all his family.

   One of the celebrated months is Dhul-Hijjah, the month of Hajj. The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the most beloved of all days by Allah. Indeed, these days are better than all the days of the world. The Messenger of God said:

عن جَابِرِ بْÙ†ِ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِÙŠَ الله عَÙ†ْÙ‡ُ Ù‚َالَ: Ù‚َالَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَÙ„َّÙ‰ الله عَÙ„َÙŠْÙ‡ِ ÙˆَسَÙ„َّÙ…َ: رُ ذِÙŠ الحْجَّØ©ِ”. Sahih al-Jaame, No. 1133

In a hadith transmitted by Jabir Ibn Abdullah, the Messenger of God said: "They are superior to all the days of the world; It is ten days. That is, the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.” Albani Sahihul Jami’i recorded it in 1133.

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, peace be upon him, he said: "There are no days of righteous action in them that I love to Allah from him in these ten days. By himself and his wealth and he did not return from that with anything."

In a hadith narrated from Ibn Abbas, the Messenger of God said:

"There are no days that are more loved by Allah than the good deeds done in these ten days; "Even jihad in the way of Allah?" They were called. forget them; They said, "Jihad is no more when a person leaves with his life and property and is left with nothing in return." Bukhari reported it

Among the types of worship that we should pay attention to these days:

1. Fasting: Fasting is the best of all deeds, so fasting on these days is very popular. It is reported that the Messenger of Allah used to fast on the nine days of Dhul-Hijjah. (But the tenth day is Eid, so he does not fast)

2. Increasing the dhikr: praising Allah (alhamdulillah), takbeer, tasbih (subhanallah) and tahlil (la ilaha illallah); It is liked to raise the voice and make these zikrs on various occasions to remember the worship and to raise the name of Allah.

عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "There are no days that are greater in the sight of God and I do not like him to work on them than these ten days, so there are more in them than praise, praise, and praise."

In the hadith transmitted by Abdullah Ibn Umar, the Prophet said:

"There are no days that are greater in the sight of Allah and good deeds are more loved than these ten days; Tahleel Takbeer and Tahmid Abzu' Al-Imam Ahmad reported it and Ahmad Shakir confirmed its authenticity.

Among the best practices;

Allah is great, God is great, and God is great, and praise be to God

“Glory to Allah; Glory be to Allah. "La ilaha illallah walahu akbar walilahilhamd" is the main one and has other contents.

This takbeer that should be done these days is among the sunnahs that are being forgotten because many people do not do it. In order to remind people and keep the Sunnah alive, it is necessary to raise the voice and make Takbeer. It is reported that Abdullah Ibn Umar and Abu Hurairah went out to the market and did Takbeera during these ten days, and people used to do Takbeera while remembering. This It means that everyone does their own dhikr, it does not mean that people gather together and make takbir with one voice. This is an incorrect execution for which information is not available.

3. Hajj and Umrah: Hajj is one of the good deeds done during these days. If he attends the Hajj in these ten days and performs it properly, by the will of God, he will have a share in the good news of the Messenger of God.

عن Aبي حريرة رضي الله عنه said: I heard him saying: "Al Hajj is not a reward except Paradise."

In a hadith transmitted from Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of God said: "Al-Hajj al-Mabrur, which is free from crime, and its reward is nothing but Paradise."

Bukhari and Muslim agreed

4. Udhiya: One of the most beloved deeds during these ten days is to get closer to Allah by slaughtering Udhiya. The following points give my brief understanding;

Udhiya is among the strongest Sunnahs of the Prophet. Apart from keeping the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim alive, it is also about reaching out to the poor and needy.

 Regarding Udhia, what Allah wants from us is our fear (Taqwa) for Him.

Udhiya is slaughtered after the Eid prayer. The Messenger of Allah commanded a person who slaughtered before the Eid prayer to repeat it.

According to the balanced view of the Ulama, Udhiya can be performed from the time the Eid prayer ends until the sun sets on the third day.

Camels, cattle, sheep and goats

 They will be slaughtered for Udhiya.

 The Messenger of God forbade slaughtering animals with blemishes. A blind, one-eyed, broken, exhausted, sick animal is not for Udhiya.

 Just as Udhiya can be slaughtered individually, one bull or bull can be slaughtered for seven.

 When a person slaughters an Udhiya, he may slaughter it for himself and for his family, living or dead.

It is Sunnah to divide the Udhya into self, gift and Sadaqah. This does not mean that he will spend it on all three as needed, but that he will divide it into three equal parts.

 If he intends to slaughter an Udhiya on the day of Eid and the month of Dhul-Hijjah enters, he does not cut his nails and hair. It does not tan the skin. This is a prophetic command to compare people on Hajj. However, this only applies to the slaughterer. He who knowingly cuts his nails or hair has committed a crime and should return to Allah where he left him. But the Udhiya will not fail.

   Because there are many doors to good deeds, we must do our best to get closer to Allah. It is necessary to ask for a person who is imprisoned or sick, to continue relationships, to increase charity, to increase sunnah prayers, to recite the Qur'an, to increase zikr, to increase dua...etc.

   May Allah make us strong and intelligent servants of Allah who will benefit from these golden times and receive good rewards from Allah.
