Umar Ibnul Khattab part one

  In which the angels rejoiced

  

Bismillah! In the end, he is the best person whom I give a very important place in my life and whom I love. Among the friends of the Messenger of God, I have reached the righteous Umar Ibn al-Khattab, who holds a huge place in my heart! There is great joy in writing about Omar! There is a revival! There is some bravery that we can inherit, Subhanallah. So I want you to understand if I am too much when I write about Umar! 

         The identity that he had before his appearance 

Umar Ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه is a member of the Banu Adi tribe, a tribe that has the power to discuss and discuss the issues of the people despite being small among the Quraysh. His father, Khatab Ibn Nufail, was a very powerful man: he was a man who was powerful to his family and to outsiders. He used to beat Umar a lot in his childhood. If we remember the story of the companion Saeed Ibn Zayd, we can remember that his father was Al-Khattab who beat and tortured Zayd! 

On his mother's side, Umar was related to Banu Makhzoom, the descendants of Abu Jahl. Quraysh's Pharaoh Abu Jahl is also his uncle! Umar was the caretaker of his father's and aunt's sheep and camels. It is said that he was very tall, had a very strong body, beautiful and big eyes and a very deep, masculine voice. They say that when he steps on the ground, the ground shakes! 

He started trying different things to earn his own income! He started earning money by participating in wrestling competitions. By learning to read and write, he was classified as a scholar of the Quraish during the Jahiliyyah era! And when he found out, he would win over Arabs who were not Quraysh with his poems. Only one thing failed! It is a business. Umar was not a businessman. 

Because of his knowledge, he became the ambassador of Quraish! He was at the forefront of telling the people about the might of Quraysh. During this time, the Messenger of God ﷺ accepted the message and announced his prophethood! Umar was twenty-four years old at this time. Unrest arose among the Quraysh. The people who are secretly accepting Islam in every house are increasing! Abu Jahl also started torturing Muslims to give up their religion! Umar was also among those who were tormented during this period. But the difference between him and Abu Jahl is as big as heaven and earth. Abu Jahl said that the problem was to prevent Banu Hashim from exceeding Banu Mehzum.

But Umar was concerned that the Quraysh community was getting divided because of this message. Like Abu Jahl, it was not arrogance that made him oppose him! But if it stems from his concern for the Quraysh community. Meanwhile, his sister Fatima and her husband Saeed Ibn Zayd secretly joined Islam. His wife Zainab bint Mezoon has also become a Muslim! Umar's elder brother, Zayd Ibn al-Khattab, also accepted this religion. Unbeknownst to Umar, his family and his surroundings became Muslim by being attracted by the message of Islam! There were some events that happened before Umar ibn al-Khattab's death, so it is important to mention them.

Umm Abdillah bint Abi Husna, who was being tortured by the Quraish because of their Islam, and her husband Amr, began to burn their food to migrate to Habsha! Her husband went to the city to do some things! When Umm Abdillah was doing some things needed for the trip outside, Umar started passing by. "Umm Habiba! Where are you going?" He asked her. You have made it difficult for us to stay here. She said to him! When Umar heard this, his heart was broken! 

Umm Abdillah says I am very surprised! It wasn't the answer she expected. Umar, who is known for his strength, thought that she would take a serious action with her speech; But she said, "I saw on his face a kindness and gentleness that I had never seen before." When her husband returned, she told him everything that had happened; Then what about her husband? Do you think he will join Islam? She has! "Maybe," said the wife. Then her husband Amr said to her: "His father's donkey will become a Muslim before him. He will never join us!"

At one point, when Umar was walking near Abba, a man was slaughtering an animal for the idol he worshiped, and a loud voice was heard. 

" يا جليح امر نجيح رجل فصيح ققل لا إله إلا الله ." 

A voice will be heard saying, "You cursed maker! A man who says that there is no god to be worshiped but Allah, who will set you free, who is eloquent in speech." Everyone in the area was shocked; The next day he heard the same voice, and on the third day I heard the same thing, and I heard that Rasulullah ﷺ was saying that he had been sent as a messenger of God. Umar says

The other occasion was surprising. Umar says: I did not want to hear about Rasulullah ﷺ and the message he brought with him and I was very fond of drinking, so one night I started looking for something to drink. When I lost the refreshment and the drink, I headed to the house to do tawaf. You found Rasulullah that night bowing slightly away from the Kaaba (toward the first Qibla). When I saw them, I felt an interest that I had never had before, and I went to the opposite side of him to hear him say; I approached them until only the cover of the Kaaba was placed between us and I began to hear! When I heard the rest of the Qur'an, I was amazed at the flow of the language: "Indeed, he is a talented poet as the Quraish say." I said to myself. Immediately, the messenger ﷺ was missing Surat al-Haqah, so he left the following Ayah:

إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ

"It (Qur'an) is the word of a noble messenger."

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَعاِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ

"It is not the words of a poet. You only believe a few things."
