The genealogy, birth and childhood of the Prophet
Muhammad the son of Abdullah, the son of Abdul Muttalib, the son of Hashim, the son of Manaf, the son of Fehr (Quraysh), the son of Malik, the son of Nadir, the son of Kinneh, Adnan, the friend of God, the son of Ibrahim, the son of Ismail. Allah chose them from a good tribe. The filth of the Age of Ignorance did not enter their seed.
According to Muslim, the Messenger of God (PBUH) said:
"Allah chose Kinan from the sons of Ishmael, Quraysh from the sons of Kinna, Hashim from the Quraysh, and me from Bani Hashim." (Reported by Muslim)
Date of death
They were born in the year known as the year of the elephant. This year was the year when Abraha tried to destroy the Kaaba. Allah made him believe in his thoughts with wonderful wisdom and miracles. This is taken up in the story of the Qur'an. Reports indicate that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born on Monday, the 12th day of the month of Rabi'al Awal, in the same year.
A wonderful start and a clear blessing
They were born without a father. His father died when his mother was two months pregnant. His grandfather Abdul Muttalib also took the responsibility of raising him. At that time, according to Arab tradition, a woman named Halimat bint Abi Zuaib from the Bani Saeed tribe was raising them.
Historians agree that it was the year Beni Said Kaye was hit by drought. Animal ghats are stolen. The crops have dried up. From the moment Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) landed at Halimah's house and began to breastfeed her, Halimah's house was filled with blessings. Her goats came back full of milk.
The tearing of their chests that occurred while they were on the field of Bani Sa'd was a sign of prophethood that Allah had chosen them for great responsibility. According to Anas Ibn Malik (RA), Muslim reported that the Messenger of God (PBUH) was playing with the children when he was a child, and Jibreel (AS) came and caught them. He did not meet them. And he split open their chests. And he brought out their hearts. He removed what appeared to be clotted blood from it. "This is Satan's portion" world. He put it in a golden bowl and washed it with Zamzam water. Then he repaired it and returned it to its place. When they came, they found the face of the Prophet (PBUH) pale. The children ran to Halima's house and said, "Muhammad has been killed."Anas said: "I saw this event from the chest of the Prophet." The removal of something like clotted blood from their hearts is to make them far away from childish behavior and clothed with serious, firm, balanced and beautiful qualities. It is also to indicate that Allah will protect them and take care of them, and that Satan will not have the power to harm them.
(Fiqhu Sira – Doctor Ramadan Al-Buti)
This incident caused Halima to return the child to his family. At that time, the age of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was five years. When they were six years old, their mother Amina died. Their grandfather took them in to raise them. When they were eight years old, their grandfather died. His uncle Abu Talib took the responsibility of raising him.
Great destiny
When he was twelve years old, his uncle Abu Talib accompanied him to Sham for business. When the rift lands at a place called Sbarah, there is a field to visit a monk named Buhaira. The man is an expert in the Christian religion and books. He noticed the Prophet (PBUH) attentively. Study them carefully. We don't talk to them. Then he turned to Abu Talib and said: "What is this child?" they have "It is my son," they said. (Abu Talib called him my son because he loved him so much.) Buhairam: "He is not your son." The father of this child cannot be alive," he said. Abu Talib said, "He is my nephew." They said, "He died while pregnant.""What happened to his father?" He asked them.Take him back to the country immediately. Be careful that the Jews do not find it. I swear by Allah, if they find him, they will insult him. He is a child who is worthy of great status. Abu Talib quickly returned him to Makkah.
Looking for bread
When the Messenger of God (PBUH) reached the age of youth, he started running in search of bread. Goat protection was the beginning of their efforts. Later: "I used to look after a goat for the people of Makkah for a small fee." They said.
God's protection for them
May Allah protect them from all the frivolous activities and games of youth. This is what they said about themselves:
"Only twice did I think of doing things that young people used to do in the age of ignorance. At these times, Allah prevented me from doing what I thought. After that, I never thought of the same action until you sent me as a messenger. In other words, he said to a boy who was guarding a goat with me one night on the heights of Makkah: 'Guard my goat for me. I said to him, 'I will spend the night like the youth playing in Mecca.' 'So be it,' he said. I went down to Mecca. When I got there, I heard a song from a house. what is it? When I asked, I was told it was a wedding song. It was the fervor of the late afternoon sun that woke me up. I went back to my neighbor. When I sat down and started listening, Allah covered my ears. I fell into a deep sleep. He asked me about the night. I told him what happened. I did the same experiment the other night. I had a similar situation the first night.I never thought about that again."
The special beginning of the life of the creatures indicates that God wanted their hearts not to hang on any other body than Him. It seems that he wanted them not to depend on father, mother, grandfather or uncle, money, power or anything else. This feeling is very important for the Muslim in general and the Da'i in particular for his version of the personality. He did this because he wanted only Allah to protect them and take care of them, away from the arm of the person who takes care of them or the money of the person who gives them gifts. When this happens, instead of saying, "My Father," he says, "My God." Their souls are not inclined to money or glory, to the feeling of returning the kingdom and power of their ancestors.People do not mix the dunya (earthly) glory with the sacred status of prophethood.
Because of this, all the accusations that the messenger claimed to be a prophet to gain worldly honor and benefits or in modern terms, "to trade in religion" lost the basis on which to stand. Secularists and atheists have been heard making this charge against sincere people of Da'wa in every age.
Important lessons
Their early efforts to earn bread taught them three important lessons.
1. Allah shows Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) beautiful features and subtle emotions. Their uncle took full care of them. They grieved for them like a father. However, when the Messenger (PBUH) felt that he could work and spend the night, he went to work. They tried to cover their uncle's financial holes as much as they could. No matter how little they earn from their work, their pride, their indomitable attitude to try their best, lead them to work. They did this to return the favor of their uncle and to express gratitude.
So be careful and proud like them. "Carry yourself by your neck."
2. It is an opportunity for Allah to explain the kind of life He likes for His servant on earth. In other words, if Allah willed, He could have saved the Prophet (PBUH) from having to search for bread by making his life prosperous from the very beginning of his life. But because he tried to teach us with his wisdom that the best money for a human being is the one who earns it through the service he gives to the society or through his efforts.
So, just like the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him), do only halal work and be diligent to earn money.
3. When a judge's livelihood is based on da'wa, or when it is based on people's gifts and alms, the da'wa loses weight and value.
O my people, I do not ask you for any reward for it. My reward is only for the one who created me. Do you not understand?
"My people! I don't ask you anything about it. My reward is with this one who created me and not with another. Don't you know?" (Hud 11:51)
Allah did not allow a single occasion in the life of the Messenger (PBUH) to prevent people from telling the truth with the favor of people wrapped around their necks, before or after he was sent as a prophet. Therefore, be zealous for the honor of yourself and the da'aw. Do not seek reward or praise from people for the service you give. Know that the Da'wa of Islam is like a proud lion and pure as the water of a cloud.
Perfect personality
There is no doubt that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had human characteristics, human feelings and desires like any other human being. They had the natural inclinations of any young man. This shows that truth is not different from other people. They wish they had time to play like other youngsters. This natural feeling is not bad. But Allah protected them from the following conditions from being a model of good conduct and a teacher of eternal divine Shariah.
