The Story of the Most Compassionate Prophet of the World (Sirah) Part 3

Prepared by Abdul Jebar

 Battle of Fujjar and Fadul Agreement;

When the Prophet (peace be upon him) was 14 years old, he participated in the battle called "Harbal Fujjar". It was a battle between Kinanah and Quraysh on one side and Qays on the other side. It was a terrible war for the Arabs. Because the honor of the holy city of Makkah was overthrown, the day was called "Umal Fujjar" (the day of rebellion).

   The Messenger of God (PBUH) said: "I was collecting arrows for my uncles in that battle."

Partial reports indicate that he was fourteen or fifteen years old then. The others reported being 20 years old. The first idea is balanced. Because their role during the war was to collect arrows and deliver them, indicating that they were foot soldiers. This participation made them learn bravery and gain combat experience from their childhood. This war, like other Arab wars, was caused by eight reasons. Then he fanned the flames of racism. They were like this until the light of Islam reconciled their minds and removed this corruption from them.

As soon as Quraysh returned from the battle of Fujjar, they were called to make a treaty called "Fudul". The treaty was concluded in the house of Jaddan bin Taymi, one of the Quraysh nobles. The content of the agreement was that whoever they found wronged in Makkah - whether he was a resident of the city or not - agreed to stand by his side and compensate him for his wrongdoing. The Messenger of God (PBUH) participated in the agreement along with his uncles.

 After Allah sent them as messengers, they were heard saying:-

I have testified with my parents that I swear to God that I love him, even if I asked him in Islam, I answered him.

"I was present at the agreement made in the house of Abdullah Ibn Jaddan. I am not the one who would prefer to be given a red camel by the exchange if I am not there. Even if I am in Islam and invited to that agreement, I will accept the invitation.”》

Because they were sent to fulfill good morals. The content of the agreement is also part of good behavior. Islam approves the essence of the treaty. This agreement has saved many people from abuse.

One of the main lessons we can learn from the "Hilfel Fudul" agreement is: "Standing on the side of the wrongdoer and making up for the wrongdoing." Our dear reader! Do you have any personal experience in this regard?
